Malibu Life Re’s senior leadership team is made up of insurance veterans and Third Point investment experts, whose extensive industry and investment capabilities underpin the financial performance of the business.

Gary is Chief Executive Officer at Malibu Life Re. He has a long career history in insurance and is a highly experienced player in the reinsurance and annuities sector. Prior to his appointment at Malibu, Gary co-founded and was a Director at Knighthead Annuity & Life Assurance Company, where he served as its CEO from inception in 2014 to June 2023. He has over 25 years of experience working in the banking, reinsurance and insurance sectors. He also is a co-founder and former director of the Cayman International Reinsurance Companies Association.

Robert is the Head of Insurance Solutions, Managing Director at Third Point. His focus is on strategic initiatives including the launch and ongoing management of Malibu Life Re and other liability driven platforms. Prior to joining Third Point, he was a portfolio manager at Blackstone in the Insurance Solutions business. His background includes FIG Investment Banking and Corporate Development at BlackRock, Deutsche Bank, and Merrill Lynch.

Jeff Liddle is a Managing Director - Controller at Third Point, having joined the firm in 2013. Prior to his time at Third Point, he was a Senior Auditor at Deloitte. He holds a M.S. and B.S. in Accounting from St John’s University.
